Changing

Menu Settings

Youcan use the operator panel to change printer settings
and customize your printer to meet your specific needs.
Toselect a new value as the default setting:
1Fromthe Ready state, press Menu> or <Menu to enter
the menus.
Note: Changes made from a
softwareapplication override the
user default settings made from
the operator panel.
2Continueto press and release Menu> or <Menu until
the menu you need appears on the second line of
the display.
See Overview of Printer Menuson page 43 for a
list of the menus and their menu items.
3Press Select.
The menu opens and the first menu item in the
menu appears on the second line of the display.
4PressMenu> or <Menu until the menu item you
need appears on the second line of the display.
5Press Select.
An asterisk (*) appears beside the currentuser
default setting for that menu item.
Some menu items have submenus. For example, if
you select PAPE R MENU ,and then select the PA PER
TYPE menu item, you must select another menu
(such as Tray 1 Typ e) before the available values dis-
play.
Avaluecanbe:
An On or Offsetting.
A phrase or word that describes a setting.
A numerical value that you can increaseor
decrease.
6Press Menu> or <Menuuntil the value you need
appears on the second line of the display.
