Option Card Beforeremoving an option card, follow the steps under
“Accessing the Printer System Board”onpage 201.

beforeyou touch the card.
Toremove an option card:
1Remove the two screws on either side of the con-
nector slot located on the back of the printer.
2Pull the option card straight out of the system
board connector.
3Place the option card in its original packaging.
If you did not save the packaging, wrap the cardin
paper and storeit in a box.
4Follow the steps under “Installing an
Option Card”onpage 216if you need to install an
option card. Otherwise, go to step 5.
