Chapter 4: Using Print Materials
Manual Duplex
Printing Manual duplex printing lets you print on both sides of
paper and cardstock.
Manual duplexing does not damage your printer,but
print quality and feed reliabilitymay vary when printing
on the other side of the page.
Toprint on both sides of paper and card stock (called
duplex printing or two-sided printing), print the first side of
the print material like any other print job. When printing
on the other side of the page, set PAPE R WEIG HT to Heavy
in the PAPE R MENU to achieve the best results.
Make surethe placement or orientation of the print mate-
rial is correct.

Duplex Printing from

the Multipurpose

Feeder

When printing letterheadp aper fromthe multipurpose
feeder,load it with the design face up, so the top edge of
the sheet with the logo enters the printer first.
Toprint the second side of the sheet, load the printed side
facedown with the top edge of the sheet facing toward the
printer.

Duplex Printing from

the Trays

When printing letterheadpaper from the trays, load it
withthedesignfacedownwiththetopedgeofthesheet
facing towardthe frontof the printer.
Toprint the second side of the sheet, load the printed side
face up with the top edge of the sheet facing towardthe
frontof the printer.
