Disabling a
Fax Port Todisable the fax port and restore the printer serial port
settings:
1When Readydisplays on the top line of the opera-
torpanel display, press Menu> or <Menu to enter the
menus.
2Continue to press Menu> or <Menu until FAX MEN U
appears on the first line of the display.
3Press Select.
Fax Port appears on the second line of the display.
4Press Select to choose Fax Port.
5Press Menu> until Disabledappears on the second
line of the display.
SerialOption 1 displays on the second line of the dis-
play.
6Press Select to disable the fax port.
7Press Go.
ActivatingMenu Changes appears and remains on the
display until the printer restoresthe serial port
settings.

8Tur n the m ode m pow er Of f.
9Turnthe printer power Off (O).
10 Disconnect all system components from the
modem.
11 Disconnect the modem cable from the printer
serial port.
12 Turnthe printer power On (|).
