55Insufficient
Fax Buffer Thepr inter link bufferused to process data is too full to receive an incoming fax.
This message usually displayswhen the printer is busy receiving, processing, or
printingdata from a host interface connection while fax data is being received through
a serial interfacepor t configured forfax processing.
Press Goto clear the message and continue printing the job. However, some data
maynot print or may not print correctly.
Resetthe pr inter.Press Menu> or <Menu.TheJOBMENU displays. Press Menu>
or <Menuuntil Reset Printer appearson the second line of the operator panel
display.Press Select.
Note: Resetting the printer deletes all current data from the print buffer,including all
Print and Hold jobs. See ResetPrinter on page 70 formore information.
Aftert hismessage displays, the connection between the printer and the sending fax
machineis b roken.The printer will not accept additional faxdata until sufficient fax
bufferspace is made available. However, any faxdata stored in the fax buffer is
printed. See Fax Menuon page 102 for more information.

Port 1 Disabl ed Datais sent to the printer across the serial port, but the serial port is disabled. When
theser ial error displays,the repor ting of other serial errors is suppressed until the
menusare entered or the pr inter is reset.
Ifthis message displays:
Makesure the Serial Buffer menu item in the SERIAL MENU is
not
setto Disabled.
PressGo to clear the message. The printer discards any data received on the serial
port.
