Cleaning the Outside of the Printer
This section tells you how to clean the outside of the printer.
Switch off printer power and unplug the power cord from the power receptacle.
Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with water or a mild detergent solution to clean the outside of the printer. Do not use any other type of solvents, such as alcohol, benzine, or any spray that might damage the finish. When you finish cleaning, wipe the cabinet with a dry cloth.
During the cleaning process, some toner may float in the air inside the printer. For a more thorough cleaning, wait a few minutes to let the toner settle and then clean again.
