Storing the Print
Cartridge Store the print cartridge in the original packaging until
you are ready to install i t.
Do not storethe print cartridge in:
Temperaturesgreater than 40°C (104°F).
An environmentwith extreme changes in humidity
or temperature.
Directsunlight.
Dusty places.
A car for a long period of time.
An environmentwhere corrosive gases are present.
An environmentwith salty air.
Replacing the
Print Cartridge Complete the following steps to replacethe print
cartridge. Refer to thedocumentation that comes with the
print cartridge for detailed installation information.
Warning! Do
not
refill used
print cartridges or purchase a
refilled cartridge. The print car-
tridge warranty is voidedby
unauthorized refilling.
1Remove the used print cartridge.
2Clean the printer.
3Install the new print cartridge.
4Replace the fuser cleaner.
Use the installation instructions that come in the
boxwith your new print cartridge to complete steps
2through4.
5Follow the instructions on the new print cartridge
box to recycle the used print cartridge.
When you returna used print cartridge, you contribute to
a worldwide recyclingeffort at no cost to you.
