You need to define one parameter to expand a volume:

Example:
In Figure 92, page 160, the resized volume, XSim2, is expanded to an actual capacity of two terabytes to match its resized potential capacity. Once XSim2 is expanded, the capacity of Mir5 will automatically adjust itself to two terabytes.
