Adjusting the Preheat Temperature

The Preheat selection in Form Characteristics box of the De®ne Form window allows you to increase the preheat platen temperature to enhance fusing of labels or heavy-stock forms. You increase or decrease the temperature in increments of 5° until optimum fusing is achieved. You should not use the lower temperature settings to print on some synthetic forms, such as vinyl- or latex-impregnated forms.

When you are using regular forms, the temperature should be set to the default value. The default value is set in ªPrinter Con®gurationº.

To adjust the preheat platen temperature, do the following:

vSELECT the Con®gure pull-down menu on the main Display Touch Screen window.

vSELECT the De®ne Form procedure.
