Sudden Failures

If your printer has been operating satisfactorily for a reasonable period and then suddenly fails, consider the following questions:

vIs the printer processing a new application?

vIs the printer using new forms?

vAre forms or other supplies being obtained from a new supplier?

vHave the IBM Advanced Function Printing licensed programs been updated?

vHave any changes occurred in the operating system environment?

vHas the printer been recabled or moved?

vHave any con®guration items been changed recently?

If the answer to any of these questions is ªyesº, you may have found the cause of the problem. Work with your system programmer, service representative, or application owner to resolve the situation.
