Con®guring the Printer

This procedure lets you view, update, or print a copy of the printer con®guration.

Note: The printer can have multiple sets of con®guration data: one for each mode

in which the printer can operate. To update a con®guration for a particular

mode, the printer must be running in that mode.

1. Before you print the printer con®guration, ensure that all attachments are

disabled. See ªEnabling and Disabling Attachmentsº on page 63 for more

information. You do not need to disable attachments if you are viewing or

changing the con®guration.

2. To access the con®guration settings, do one of the following:

v In simplex or duplex mode, SELECT the Con®gure pull-down menu.

v In dual simplex mode, SELECT the Con®gure pull-down menu on the

Display Touch Screen window of the printer with which you want to work.

3.SELECT the Con®gure Printer procedure. The Con®gure Printer window appears. Use the scroll bar to scroll through the list of con®guration items. For information about con®guration items, see Table 16 on page 221 or SELECT the Help pushbutton on the Con®gure Printer window.

4.To print a copy of the con®guration, do the following:

a.SELECT the Print... pushbutton. You see the Print Con®guration window.

b.To change the number of copies you print, do the following:

1)SELECT the How Many? ®eld.

2)Type the number of copies you want to print.

3)SELECT the OK pushbutton.
