Con®guring Remote Access

This procedure lets you enable and con®gure remote access to the printer. You can use these methods:

vSNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)

vRMI (Remote Management Interface)

vModem.

To con®gure remote access, do the following:

1.SELECT the Con®gure pull-down menu on the main Display Touch Screen window.

2.SELECT the Remote Access procedure.

3.SELECT the type of remote access that is to be used.

4.Enable or disable remote access for the type of remote access that you chose in the previous step.

Note: If Allow to Con®gure is set to Yes for SNMP or RMI, that interface is allowed to remotely change selected printer con®guration items.
