What Are Softkeys and How Do They Work?

The 536M provides 36 additional softkeys and can attach to a 53i, 55i, 57i or 57i CT. The 560M provides 60 additional softkeys and can attach to a 55i, 57i, and 57i CT. You can configure the following softkey functions on the expansion modules:

Busy Lamp Fields (BLFs) (maximum of 50)

Speeddial

Each key provides an LED for indicating call status. The 536M provides a paper label for convenient key labeling, and the 560M provides an LCD for displaying key labeling.

Note: You use the AastraLink Web UI to configure the additional expansion module softkeys. For an Administrator phone, refer to Chapter 2, the section, “Softkeys for Expansion Modules (Administrator Phone)” on page 2-27for more information. For a User phone, refer to Chapter 3, the section, “Softkeys for Expansion Modules (User Phone)” on page 35.
