framing (X330WAN-2DS1 Controller context)
Use the framing command to select the frame type for the E1 or T1 data line. The no form of this command sets the controller’s framing type to the default value.
Syntax
[no] framing <frame-type>
Parameters
The framing method to use: | ||
• | sf | Selects super frame framing (dsx1D4). This is the default value |

| for T1 lines. |
• | esf | Selects extended super frame framing (dsx1ESF). |
• | crc4 | Selects CRC4 framing |
|
| for E1 lines. |

•unframed The line is not framed.
Note: Use this command in configurations where the router or access server is intended to communicate with an E1 or T1 fractional data line. The service provider determines which framing type (sf, esf, or crc4) is required for your E1/T1 circuit.

The following example selects extended super frame as the T1 frame type:
