This chapter provides information about the X330WAN functional concepts, as well as sample configurations illustrating the implementation of these concepts. This chapter contains the following sections:
•Detailed Interface Concepts - Describes the X330WAN physical and virtual interfaces, and their uses.
•Enhanced Routing Capabilities - Provides information about Static Route Configuration, Export Default Metric, OSPF Dynamic Cost Support, RIP Distribution Access Lists, and Fragmentation and Reassembly.
This section contains a sample configuration illustrating the implementation of these concepts.
•Backup Interfaces - Provides a description of backup interfaces, and describes how to implement them on X330WAN.
•Frame Relay Encapsulation - Provides information about the X330WAN’s QoS implementation for PPP encapsulation and Frame Relay encapsulation.
•Policy - Provides information about controlling network access to the X330WAN.
•RTP Header Compression (cRTP) - Describes the X330WAN’s implementation of cRTP.

Physical Interfaces
The following are the X330WAN physical interfaces:
