set ip fragmentation
To enable or disable the fragmentation of IP packets bridged between FDDI and Ethernet networ ks, use
the set ip fragmentation command.
set ip fragmentation {enable | disable}
Syntax Description
Defaults The default value is IP fragmentation is enabled.
Command Types Switch command.
Command Modes Privileged.
Usage Guidelines If IP fragmentation is disabled, packets are dropped.
Note that FDDI and Ethernet networks have different maximum transmission units (MTUs).
Examples This example shows how to disable IP fragmentation:
Console> (enable) set ip fragmentation disable
Bridge IP fragmentation disabled.
Console> (enable)
