set spantree portpri
set spantree portpriTo set the bridge priority for a spanning tree port, use the set spantree portpri command.
set spantree portpri mod/port priority [mst]
Syntax Description
Defaults The default is all ports with bridge priority are set to 32.
Command Types Switch command.
Command Modes Privileged.
Usage Guidelines A priority value that is not a multiple of 16 (between the values of 0 to 63) is converted to the nearest
multiple of 16.
This command is not supported by the NAM.
Examples This example shows how to set the priority of port 1 on module 4 to 63:
Console> (enable) set spantree portpri 2/3 48
Bridge port 2/3 port priority set to 48.
Console> (enable)
This example shows the output when you have specified a priority value that i s no t a m ult ipl e of 16 :
Console> (enable) set spantree portpri 2/3 2
Vlan port priority must be one of these numbers:0, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80,
96, 112, 128, 144,
160, 176, 192, 208, 224, 240
converting 2 to 0 nearest multiple of 16
Bridge port 2/3 port priority set to 0.
Console> (enable)

mod/port Number of the module and the port on the mod ule.
priority Number that represents the cost of a link in a spanning tree bridge; valid
values are 0, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 144,160, 176, 192, 208, 224,
240, with 0 indicating high priority and 240, low priority. See the “Usage
Guidelines” section for more information.
mst (Optional) Sets the bridge priority for an MST port.
