Settings Editor
The Settings Editor is one of the co ntroller applications for the Océ TDS600,
which allows users and operators to view and, if autho rised, to modify settings
of the system.
With the Settings Editor two groups of s ettings can be configured:
Keyoperator settings (KO settings)
The key operator group allows authorised user s to configure default settings
forcopy and print jobs, default off-linefold settings and scan to file options.
Withthe key operator settings also the printer,system and scanner defaults
can be set or modified.
SystemAdministrator settings (SA settings)
Thesystem administratorgroup allows authorisedusers to configuredefault
printer language (PDL) settings and p rinter pen settings. It also allows the
systema dministratorto configure system and connectivitysettings.
These groups of settings can be selected f rom the ‘View’men u of the Settings
Editor.
Setting dependencies The Settings Editoris used to display and edit a
specified group of settings. Some settings are related to other settings,
however.If you wan tto ch ange settings which have dependencies with other
settingsyou will be prompted with a message. When a setting is changed, the
system automaticallyupdates the related settings.
Also, when you change certain settings, such as measur ement unit or paper
series, all related setti ngs are instantaneously converted to th e new setting
(with a bullet for the settings that are changed).
