Starting up and shutting down thecontroller
Takethe following actions to start up the co ntroller:
Start up the Océ controller
1Turnon the controller and the screen.
After the initial sys tem test of the controll er the applications, Q ueue Manager,
System ControlPanel, Settings Editor and Scan Manager are automatically
started and the Océ TDS600 is read y for operation.
Note: The QueueManager and the System ControlPanel applicationsare
visible on the screen; however the Settings Edi tor is minimized, to save screen
estate.
Takethe following actions to shut down the controller:
Shut down the Océ controller
1Go to the System ControlPanel application.
2Select the ‘Shutdown’ option from the ‘Sys tem’ menu.
3Confirm shutdown by clicking on the ‘Yes’ button in the ‘Shut down’ window.
Thesystem automaticallyperforms the shutdownprocedure for the controller.
Finally, the WindowsN T ‘Shutdown Computer’ window appears, which
informs you that you can turn off your computer.
Note: Youcan now restart the controller by pressingthe ‘Restart’ button.
4Turnoff your computer anddisplay.
Note: The Océ TDS600 has a sleep mode ( see page 197). The sleep mode
powers offalmost all the power supplies after a certain time of inactivity.
