Job recovery The Océ TDS60 0 is equipped with a job recovery function that
safeguards users against data loss in case of a printer failur e. After a restart, the
data submittedto the printer before the crashwill be automatically processed
and printed.This means that jobs do not have to be resubmittedafter a printer
malfunction, thus savin gva luable time for the users.
Greenbuttonprinciple The Océ TDS600 is a very user-friendly system. T he
scanner,in part icular, isver ye asyt o operate. Basic copy jobs can be performed
by simply pressing the green start button on the scann er operating panel. Only
ifyo u want to perform more complex copy jobs, you have to chang eth e default
copy settings with the help of the other set tings on the scanner operating panel.
User interaction Th eu ser can communicate with the Océ TDS600 from
different locations, both locally (pr inter and scanner operating panels,
controller applications) and remo tely (drivers on user workstations, Remote
ControlFormat (RCF) files or Océ Job Tickets (OJT) and remote applications):
■Operating panels
TheO cé TDS600 consists of two operating panels for ma king a wide variety
of settings for printing and copying. See ‘Printer operator panel’ on page 2 6
and ‘Beforeyou begin’ on page 38 for more information.
■Controllerapplications
The Océ TDS600 controller applications are used for making defaul tkey
operator and system administrator settings (O cé Settings Editor). For
viewing the status of the jobs in the print queue you use the Queue Manager.
The ‘Océ System Control Panel’ shows the status of the entire system.
■Océ Scan Logic
With‘Océ Scan logic’you can defineall relevant settingsfor scan to file.See

■Printerdrivers
With the Océ TDS600 a number of printer drivers can be u sed, including
Windowsdriver, AutoCAD ADI/HDI and PostScript 3/PDF. Withthese
driversyou can access the Océ TDS600 remotely, from your applications,to
print your files. More information about installing, configuring and usi ng
driverscan bef ound in the documentation provide d with the drivers. All Océ
drivers (except Postscript) can be freely downloaded from the Web at
www.oce.com.
