Océ TDS600 users
On the Océ TDS600 the following user types can be identified:
System administrato r The Océ TDS600 system administrator is responsible
for installing and configuring the Océ TDS600 in his environment. He d efines
the printer language settings, pen settings and Automa ticL anguage Sensing
(ALS)se ttings. The system adminis trator can also provide assistan ce to normal
users who need to install the printer drivers on their workstations. See ‘Océ
Power Logic:Settings Editor (for the system administrator)’ on page203 for
more information. Configuration informatio n can be found in the Océ TDS600
ConnectivityManual providedwith the Océ TDS600.
Key operator The Océ TDS600 key operator is responsible for the daily
maintenance of the Océ TDS600. The key operator replenishes ton erw hen
necessary, loads media as needed and defines the default printe rs ettings for
recurringprint jobs. Also, the key operator definesall time settings, such as
panel time out and sleep mode time out. See ‘Océ Power Logic:Se ttings Editor
(for the key operator)’ on page 139 for more information.
Repro operator The Océ TDS600 repro operato ri s responsible for the daily
operations on the Océ TDS600. The repro operator performs all job relat ed
activitieson the system and is allowed to change the default settings for
job-relatedactivities in the Océ Settings Editor.
Anonymoususer Typically,an anonymous user onthe Océ TDS600 can be
either a PC user who has remote access to the system through one or more
drivers(Windows driver,AutoCAD ADI/HDIor PostScript) or theremote
applications(Océ Queue Manager,Océ System Control Panel andOcé
SettingsE ditor),or the print submission/print management applications, or a
user performing a copy job at the scanner.
Service operator The Océ TDS60 0 service operator is responsible for
installation and maintenance of the Océ TDS600.
