Off-line folding settings
On the operating panel of the Océ TDS600 Pri nter you can specify the settings
you want to use for off-line folding. These settings inclu de defining the length
and width of the folded package, enabling and defining the binding edge,
selecting the input method and legend positio n and cleaning the reinforcement
knive.

▼Make off-linefolding settings
1Press the on line button on the printer operat ing panel to put the printer off line.
The message ‘Off line ’ is displayed in the sta tus window.
2Activatethe Folding option by pressing the leftselection button.
The dotted line around the current sel ection is changed into an uninterrupted
lineand the small selection triangles next to the specifiedoption are no longer
dimmed.
3Use the up/down buttons to switch between the available options.
4Activate the Input option and press the right selection button to activate the
Legend option.
5If necessary, change the value in the Legend field with the up/down buttons.
6Press theright selection button again to activatethe Method option.
7If necessary, change the value in the Width field with the up/down buttons.
8Press the left selection button again a nd use the up/down buttons to select
another option. This can be Package (with suboptions Length and Width),
Binding (with suboptions Size and Binding), or Special (wi thsu boption
Knife).
9Make any desired settings.
10 Put the printer on line again by pressi ng the on line button. The printer now
uses the specifiedoff-line folding settings.
Positioning the reinforcement knives (optional)
Because the knives of the optional reinforcement u nito f the folder get sticky
fromthe glue on the reinforcement tape, they have to be cleaned regularly.You
are recommendedto clean the knives each time you have inserteda new tape
roll (see ‘A newta pe roll’ on page 254) or when an error in the reinforcement
unithas occurred.
Before you can clean the reinforceme nt knives, you have to place them in such
a positionthat all the parts that need to be cleaned area ccessible.You can do
this from the printer operating panel.
