Step 1. Initialization
How to select the system verification procedure
Check to see how the verification kit floppy disk is labeled:
•If the disk is labeled Verification Data Disk, proceed with the Agilent8702D Auto-
mated Mode System Verification in this chapter.
•If the disk is labeled Verification Data Disc, proceed with the Agilent8702D Manual
Mode System Verification procedure, located in Chapter 3, “Manual Verifica-
tion”.
Step 1. Initialization
1Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 2-1. Let the Agilent 8702D warm up
for one hour.

2While the equipment is warming up, review the connector care information in
the Agilent 8702D User’s Guide.
NOTE
If your verification disk is older than your Agilent8702D, you may send your
Agilent85029B Option 001 7 mm verification kit to the nearest service center for recerti-
fication, which includes a data disk that you can use with the Agilent8702D.
