17 Connect the test port cables as shown Figure2-3.

18 Press TRANSMISSION, FWD TRANS THRU.
19 When the Agilent8702D finishes the measurement, press FWD MATCH THRU.
20 When the Agilent8702D finishes the measurement, press REV TRANS THRU.
21 When the Agilent8702D finishes the measurement, press REV MATCH THRU.
22 When the Agilent8702D displays, PRESS ’DONE’ IF FINISHED WITH
STD(s), press STANDARDS DONE, DONE 2-PORT CAL.
23 Press SAVE/RECALL, SELECT DISK, INTERNAL MEMORY, RETURN, SAVE STATE to save
the calibration into the Agilent8702D internal memory.
24 When the Agilent8702D finishes saving the instrument state, press SELECT DISK,
INTERNAL DISK.
Step 3. Device Verification
1Press SYSTEM, SERVICE MENU, TESTS, 28, x1, EXECUTE TEST.
2At the prompt, connect the 20 dB attenuator (supplied in the verification kit)
as shown in Figure2-4.
3Press CONTINUE to run the test:
