6LBB4402/00 Audio Expander

6.1Introduction

The LBB4402/00 Audio Expander is used if the system requires additional audio inputs and outputs. See figure 6.1 for a block diagram of the audio expander. Unlike the network controller, the audio expander has transformer-isolated and balanced XLR inputs and outputs for easy interfacing to other systems. Furthermore, control inputs and outputs are available.

The front of the audio expander (see figure 5.2) contains the following:

1Menu display - A 2x16 character LCD display gives information about the audio expander (see

section 6.5).

2Menu button - A turn-and-push button to operate the menu (see section 6.5).

3Monitoring headphones output - A 3.5 mm (0.14 inch) jack socket to connect headphones for audio monitoring purposes.
