EN60849 - 5. System technical requirements

EN60849 - 5.1 Speech intelligibility

Unless otherwise specified, the following requirement
shall be satisfied:
The speech intelligibility over all of an area of coverage		Responsibility of the installer.

may apply, for example, in an office building. However,
in a sports ground, for example, most of the messages
are likely to be relatively unfamiliar to the majority of
persons present, and no relaxation of the above
requirement should be considered.

A clear indication shall automatically be given at the
designated control locations of:
