14LBC1256/00 EVAC Connection Adapter

The EVAC connection block itself is a three pole screw connector to which the loudspeaker can be connected (see figure 14.2).

14.1Introduction

Using an LBC1256/00 EVAC Connection Adapter, loudspeakers that do not contain a ceramic block with a thermal fuse can be upgraded to comply to evacuation standards.

14.2Installation

The EVAC connection adapter must be installed in an enclosure with double-sided tape (see figure 14.1). The cable between the loudspeaker and the EVAC connection block must be short to make sure that the temperature of the thermal fuse does not differ from the temperature of the cable. Otherwise, the thermal fuse will not blow before there is a short-circuit in the loudspeaker line.
