20PRS-CSR Remote Call Station

20.1Introduction

The PRS-CSR Remote Call Station is used for making live speech or pre-recorded announcements to any pre-assigned zones or to execute any pre-defined actions. The remote call station is connected to the system through the PRS-CSI Call Station Interface with a Cat-5 cable. This makes the remote call station suitable to operate the system from remote sites. See figure 20.1 for a block diagram of the remote call station.

The PRS-CSR Remote Call Station is a successor to the LBB4438/00 Remote Call Station. You can only use the PRS-CSR in combination with the PRS-CSI Call Station Interface. You cannot use the PRS-CSR in combination with the (old) LBB4437/00 Call Station Interface. You can only use the LBB4437/00 to connect LBB4438/00 and LBB4439/00 remote call stations to the system.
