Each of these commands can be executed by typing the first letter of the command or by typing the entire command. Command sets are entered by typing the first letter of the first command, a space, and the first letter of the second command or by typing the entire command. Table 83 shows all the possible command sets, listed in alphabetical order. These commands are described by subject later in this section.

A D Alarm Disable

Disables all alarms.

A E Alarm Enable

Enables all alarms.

C A Clear Alarm

Clears all alarms, terminates line processing, and resets the T1 bit error rate and frame slip counters.

C A L Clear Alarm Log

Clears the alarm log.

C E Clear Error

Clears the error counter for the T1.

D A [P] Display Alarms [Pause]

Displays the alarm log – a list of the most recent 100 alarms along with time and date stamps.
