3Install the cable that connects the backplane connector on the IPE module to the module I/O panel.

4Connect a 25-pair cable from the module I/O panel connector to the Main Distribution Frame (MDF).

5Connect the trunk card output to the selected terminal equipment at the MDF.

6Configure the individual trunk interface unit using the Trunk Administration program (LD 14) and the Trunk Route Administration program (LD 16).

Once these steps have been completed, the trunk card is ready for use.
