Chapter 5 Examining Spectrum Data
5.12Adding and Subtracting Raw or Processed Spectra from the Same or Different Data Files (Dual Spectral Trace Arithmetic)
The Dual Spectral Trace Arithmetic function lets you add two spectra together, or subtract one spectrum from another. Spectra can be raw or processed, and can be from the same or different data files.
To use the Dual Spectral Trace Arithmetic function:
1. | To perform this function on spectra from different data
|
| files, copy a spectrum trace from one data file to |
|
| another. See Section 2.5.2, Copying Traces from |
|
| Multiple Data Files to a Window, for information on |
|
| copying traces. |
2. | Activate the Spectrum window that contains the two
|
| traces of interest. |
3. | Process the traces as needed.
4. | Click the first trace in the Spectrum window to make it the
|
| active trace. |

| NOTE: The Dual Spectral Trace Arithmetic command is |
