About Redundant Switch Fabric Protection
The Cisco ONS 15530 provides protection for the 2.5-Gbps aggregated signals sent through the
redundant switch fabrics.
Configuring APS Group Attributes
This section describes APS group attributes and how to configure them.

Configuring Revertive Switching

The Cisco ONS 15530 supports revertive switching for all types of protection. When revertive switching
is configured, the system automatically switches back from the protection interface to the working
interface. This automatic switchover occurs after the condition that caused the switchover to the
protection interface is resolved and the switchover-enable timer has expired.
