To configure transparent interfaces on the CiscoONS 15530, perform the following steps:

Step 1 Specify the protocol encapsulation and, if required, the tra nsmission rate and OFC (open fiber control),

or specify the signal clock rate (required).

Step 2 Specify the laser frequency (optional).

Step 3 Enable protocol monitoring (optional).

Step 4 Create alarm threshold lists and apply them to the interfaces (optional).

Step 5 Enable forward laser control (optional).
