Command History
Usage Guidelines The CiscoONS 15530 supports APS signal switchover requests from the CLI (command-line interface).
These requests have priorities based on the condition of the protection signal and the existence of another
switchover or lockout request. Three types of requests exist:
Lockout requestsHave the highest priority and take effect regardless of the condition of the
protection signal. A lockout prevents the signal from switching over from the working interface to
the protection interface.
Forced switchover requestsHave the next highest priority and are only prevented when an existing
lockout on the protection interface or the protection signal has failed.
Manual switchover requestsHave the lowest priority and only occur if there is no protection path
lockout, a forced switchover, or the signal has failed or degraded.
Examples The following example shows how to clear an APS request on an associated inter face pair named blue.
Switch# aps clear blue
