6.4 Basic Configuration Procedure

Introduction

Each of the Set Up groups and their functions are pre-configured at the factory.

If you want to change any of these selections or values, read the “General Rules for Editing” and follow the procedure in Table 6-1. This procedure tells you the keys to press to get to any Setup group and any associated parameter prompt.

6.4.1General Rules for Editing

Selecting a parameter for edit:

Display the screen containing the parameter.

Use the keys to highlight the parameter name.

Press Enter to highlight the displayed current value.

Editing a parameter having a text string as an assigned value:

Select the parameter as explained above.

Use the keys to display other valid choices.

When your choice is displayed, press Enter to select.

Editing a parameter having a numeric value

Select the parameter as explained above.

Use the keys to move the cursor to the digit to be changed. Moving the cursor left into leading spaces changes space to 0. Moving the cursor right causes any leading 0 to change to a space.

If you hold down the key, the cursor will move to the left and increment to the next highest digit available for the particular parameter. If you hold down the key, the cursor will move to the right and increment the next lowest digit available for the particular parameter.

Use the keys to increment or decrement the numerical value at and to the left of the digit. Increment/decrement past range limit displays limit value and causes status message.

Use the keys to move the cursor to the next digit. Repeat. When all digits have been changed, press Enter to store.
