●Protective bonding

WARNING

Always ground the robot and controller unit to prevent electrical shock.

A grounding terminal (M4 screw) is provided inside the cable box, so always ground the unit. The position of the grounding terminal is shown below.

!CAUTION

•A secure ground connection (less than 100-ohm resistance to ground) is rec- ommended.

•Use electrical wire thicker than AWG14 (2mm2) as the ground wire.

WARNING

Always turn off the power to the controller before making the ground con- nection.

Provide a terminal marked “PE” as the protective conductor for the entire sys- tem, and connect it to an external protective conductor. Also securely connect the ground terminal on the robot frame to the protective conductor.
