Voordat u begint

Sommige modellen zijn uitgerust met sierkits waarmee deurpanelen kunnen worden geïnstalleerd.

Minder dan 6 mm dikke panelen

Wanneer u minder dan 6 mm dikke houten panelen installeert, moet u eerst een vulpaneel maken (bijv. 3 mm dik karton) dat tussen het deuroppervlak en het houten paneel past. Indien u voorgesneden decoratieve panelen installeert, bevat de kit voorgesneden vulpanelen. Het decoratieve of houten paneel en het vulpaneel moeten samen 6 mm dik zijn.

Paneel van 19 mm of verhoogd paneel

Een verhoogd paneel kan op een 6 mm dikke onderlaag worden vastgeschroefd of vastgelijmd; u kunt ook een 19 mm dik paneel gebruiken. Het verhoogde gedeelte van het paneel moet zo ontworpen zijn dat er ten minste 5,1 cm ruimte is tussen de rand en de handgreep zodat er plaats is voor de vingers.

De buitenste 8 mm aan de omtrek van de panelen van minimaal 6 mm en maximaal 19 mm dik mag niet dikker dan 6 mm zijn.
