Clean the reinforcement knives
Because the knives of the reinforcement unit get sticky from the glue on the
reinforcement tape, they have to be cleaned regularly. Youare reco mmended
toclean the knives eachtime you have inserteda new tape roll (see ‘Inserta
newt ape roll’ on page 164) or when an error in the reinforcement unit has
occurred.
Ifyo u want to clean the reinforcement knives, you have to place them in such
aposition that all the parts that need to be cleaned are accessible.
Attention:Only use the original Cleaner K and Fixing Unit Cleaning Oil
(siliconoil) from Océ, to avoid damage to the reinforcementunit.

1Press the On-line key on the printer operator panel.
2Select‘Folding’ withthe or key.
3Pressthe keyto enter the ‘Folding’menu.
4Select‘Clean RU knife’ with the or key.
5Pressthe keytoplacethe reinforcementunit knives in the correctposition.
6Open the side door of the reinforcement un it.
7Clean the upper and lower knife using Cleaner K (see Figure 89).
