Océ Settings Editor
TheOcé Settings Editor is one of the controller applications for the Océ
TDS400. The Océ Settings Editor allows users and operators to view settings
ofthe system. If authorised, the settings of the system can be modifiedon the
Océ Settings Editor.
Withthe O cé Settings Editor two groups of settings can beco nfigured:
KeyOperat or settings (KO settings)
TheKey Operator group al lowsaut horised users to configure default settings
forcopy and printjobs, defaultoff-line foldsettings and scan-to-fileoptions.
Withthe Key Operator settings alsothe printer,system and scanner defaults
can be set or modified. A subset of the Key Operator settings are the Repro
Operatorse ttings. The Repro Operator has no rights to change settingsin the
OcéSettings Editor.In the Océ Queue Managerand the Océ System Control
Panelt he repro operator has the same user rights as the Key Operator and
SystemAdministrator.See ‘User modes’ on page 137.
SystemAdministrator settings (SA settings)
TheSystem Admini strator group allows authorised usersto configure default
printer language (PDL) settings and printer p en settings. It also allows the
SystemAdministrator to configure system and connectivitysettings.
These groups of settings can be selected from the‘ View’menu of theOc é
SettingsEditor.
Settingdepe ndencies TheOcé Settings Editor is used to display and edit a
specified group of settings. Some settings are related to other settings,
however.If you want to change settings w hich havedep endencies with other
settingsyou will be prompted with a message. When a setting ischanged, the
systemautomatically updates the related settings.
Also, when you change certain settings, such as measurement un itor p aper
series, all related settings ar ei nstantaneously converted to the new setti ng
(with a bullet for the settings that are changed).
