Note:The system is ready to use. You can turn ON and OFF the scanner
separatefrom the printer and withoutany particular order.
▼Turnoff the scanner
1Set the on/off switch at the rear of the scanner, to position ‘0’ (see Figure 10).
Start the copy process
If you press the Start key,and you do not change any settings ,t he settings of
the previous copy job are used or the default set tings of the machine are used:
■numberofcopies1
■use roll 1
■zoom 100%
■synchrocut
■noleading or trailing strip
■auto exposure on; exposure setting 0.
Default settings are used in the following situations:
■after turn on
■after you press ‘cancel’ twice
■aftera time -out of 1 minute (since the end of previous copy job has expired).
Ifthe Start key is pressed the originalwill be scanned. The originalreturns to
theoperator if you have enabledthe rewind function (seepage 60). You can
makesettings for the next job.
When the original returns, remove the original. A neworigin al can be fed and
you can program new settings.
Make copies
Thecopyi ng process starts when you press the Start key. Before you press the
Start key,you can change the set tings.
