EPA ENERGY STAR®Océ-Technologies B.V.has joined the ENERGY STAR®Program of the United
States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The purpose of the ENERGY
STAR®Program is to promote the manufacturing and ma rketing of
energy-efficient equipment, thereby potentially reducing c ombustion-related
pollution. Using the energy management features outlined below prevents
unnecessary power consumption, which helps top revent air pollution from
electricity generating plants and saves you money on your utility bills.
Asan ENERGY STAR®Partner, Océ-Technologies B.V. has determined thatthis
copier model meets the ENERGY STAR®guidelines for energy efficiency.
TheEPA ENERGY STAR®Criteria for copiers involve the following features:
lowpower mode In the l ow power mode, the power con sumption of certain
functions is automatically reduced to save energy. The printer enter s the low
powerm ode 30 minutes after the last copy is made1. This default time can be
adjustedby t he keyo perator to between 5 and 120 minutes. The scanner e nters
thelow power m ode 10 minutes after the last copy is made1. Thi s default time
can be adjusted by the key operator to between 5 and 120 minutes. The low
powermod e recovery time is less than 1 second, after which, copying may be
resumed.
recycledcopier paper The use of recycled paper also benefitsthe
environment. This copier is designed to use recycled paper. Product liter ature
on recommended types of recycled copier paper can be obtained from your
local Océ company or Océ Headquarters (Océ-Technologies B.V.) in Venlo,
the Netherlands.
