Off-line folding
Animportant productivityfeature providedby the Océ TDS400 folderis the
possibilityto make off-linefolds. For off-line folding the same settingscan be
made as for normal folding. By default, t he predefined settings in the Océ
SettingsEditor for off-linefolding are used.Polyester or transparentmedia
cannot be folded. This may result in a media jam.
Note:Use off-line folding onlyfor sheets which do not exceeda maximum
lengthof 6 m . If you try to fold a sheet longer than 6 m anyway,an error occurs.
▼Makeoff-line folds
1Switchthe printer off-line onthe printer operator panel and wait for the printer
tofinish the jobs that are alreadyin the printer.
Note:Watch the light on the top coverof the folder.
■Ifthis is off, the printer is on-line and off-line folding is not possible.
■Ifthis is blinking slowly,the printer is off-line, but the folder still processing
thelast prints.
■If this is blinking rapidly, an error has occurred.
■If this is on, the printer is off-line and you ca nf eed a sheet.

3Feedthe sheet of pa per facedown and with the legend on your right-hand side.
Also make certain that you feed the paper with the legend on the right-hand
side(see ‘Océ TDS400 folder’ on page196 for more information).
Note:Wait until the light on the fol der no longer blinks before you feed a
newsheet. Otherwise a media jam may occur.
4Collect your output.
