Océ TDS400 users
TheOcé TDS400 has the followinguser types:
System administrator TheOcé TDS400 system administrator installsand
makes the configuration for Océ TDS400. The syste m administrator defines
theprinter-language settings, pen settings andAutomatic Language Sensing
(ALS)settings. The system administratorcan help the users who need to install
theprint er drivers on their workstations. See Chapter 10, ‘Printer Supplies and
Maintenance’on page 151 for complete information. The configuration
informationi s in the Océ TDS400 Connect ivity Manual provided with the Océ
TDS400.
Keyoperator The O cé TDS400 key operator is responsible for the daily
maintenance of the Océ TDS400. The key operator replenishes toner when
necessary, loads media as needed and defines the default printer settings fo r
recurringprint jobs. Also, the key operatordefines all time settings, such as
paneltime out and sleep mode time out. See ‘Océ Account Center’ on
page 145 for more information.
Reprooperator Therepro operator is responsiblefor the daily operationson
the Océ TDS400. The Repro Operator settings are a subset of the Key Operator
settings.The Repro Operator has no rights to change settings in the Océ Settings
Editor.In the Océ Queue Manager and the Océ System Control Panel the repro
operatorhas the same user rights as the Key Operator and System Administrator.
Anonymoususer Typically,an anonymous useron the Océ TDS400 can be
either a PC user who has remote access to the system through one or more
drivers(Windows®driver,AutoCAD®ADI/HDI or PostScript®)or the remote
applications(Océ Queue Manager,Océ System Control Paneland Océ
SettingsEditor), or the print submission/print management applications,or a
user performing a copy job at the scanner.
Service operator The Océ TDS400 service operator is responsible for
installation and maintenance of the Océ TDS400.
