Operational Features

You can lock and unlock keys using the configuration files only. When viewing the locked key via the Aastra Web UI, the key is grayed out (disabled) and cannot be changed. Locking is dynamic for XML pushes.

You use the following “locking” parameters in the configuration files to lock the softkeys and/or programmable keys on all the phones. If no key settings are configured locally, the locking parameters impact existing softkey and programma- ble key parameters defined in the configuration files as detailed in the table below.

Note:

The 3-line LCD phones prevent users from setting a Speeddial key via the Phone UI on a key that has been locked.
