To set up the flatness test

Performance Test and Operation Verification

This test verifies that the Agilent 35670A meets its single channel amplitude specification for FFT full scale flatness relative to 1 kHz. In this test, the ac calibrator outputs a signal with an exact amplitude to all channels. The test records at the end of this chapter list the amplitudes and frequencies that are checked.

channel analyzers. The A12 BNC assembly routes the signals connected to the Channel 1 BNC connector and Channel 2 BNC connector to the A1 Input assembly. The A12 BNC assembly also routes the source signal from the A5 Analog assembly to the Source BNC connector. The signal connected to Channel 1 should be between 0.19531 Hz to 102.4 kHz in single channel mode and between 0.097656 Hz to 51.2 kHz in two channel mode. The signal connected to Channel 2 should be between 0.097656 to 51.2 kHz. For both channels, the signal’s amplitude range must be between +27 dBVrms and –51dBVrms for full scale measurements. The source output signal can be random noise, burst random noise, periodic chirp, burst chirp, pink noise, or fixed sine.
