The following system requirements must be met for Passage Way Direct
Connection to function properly:
An IBM Compatible personal computer with:
386 or higher microprocessor
Two megabytes of RAM (4MB recommended)
Two megabytes of hard disk space
3.5” or 5/25” disk drive
An available serial port
Mouse or trackball
VGA (or higher resolution) monitor
Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher (in standard or enhanced mode) or
Windows for Work Groups 3.11 or higher
A DEFINITY ECS and one of the following telephones:
7400 series telephone
CALLMASTER 4-wire Digital Communications Protocol tele phone
(with adjunct power)
8400 series telephone
6400 series telephone
Local adjunct power (or closet power) for the DEFINITY PassageWay
Direct Connection device
The 8411 telephone can integrate PassageWay within t he phone itself. Figure 4-2
shows a couple of typical PassageWay configurations.
