Connections to ECS
DEFINITY ECS can be connected to communications paths that transmit v oice
and data signals between the system and a Central Office and/or other syste ms.
The system can also be connected to public and private networks. Oth er
possible connections are:
Data Communications Equipment, such as a data module, whi ch
translates transmitted data to a form compatible with the communicati ons
channel.
Data Terminal Equipment, such as a workstation, which generates or
receives data.
Other peripherals for administering and maintaining the system and
auxiliary equipment for features such as Loudspeaker Pa ging and
Music-On-Hold.
Figure 1-12 shows typical DEFINITY ECS connections.
