*MOTION
The following data are required onlyfor three-dimensional cases:
5. Globalz-component of point aon the axis of rotation.
6. Globalx-compone nt of point bon the axis of rotation.
7. Globaly-compone nt of point bon the axis of rotation.
8. Globalz-compon ent of point bon the axis of rotation.
Repeat this data line as often as necessary to define rotational motion for differentnodes.
Data lines to define motion in user subroutine UMOTION (USER):
First line:
1. Node set label or node number.
2. Firsttranslational component of motion prescribed (only degrees of freedom 1, 2, or 3 can be
entered). See “C onventions,”Section 1.2.2 of the ABAQUS Analysis User’s Manual, for a
definition of the numbering of degrees of freedom in ABAQUS.
3. Lasttra nslational component of motion prescribed (only degrees of freedom 1, 2, or 3 can be
entered). This field can be left blank if m otion for only one component is being prescribed.
4. Magnitudeof the translational displacement or rotation. This magnitude can be redefined in
user subroutine UMOTION.
Repeat this data line as often as necessary to define the nodes and degrees of freedom that will have
their motion prescribed by user subroutine UMOTION.
