Conﬁgure DSP proﬁles for the IP Trunk 3.01 (and later) node

Follow the steps in Procedure 20 "Conﬁguring DSP proﬁles for the IP Trunk

3.01 (and later) node" (page 244) to select a DSP proﬁle, set Proﬁle Options

and Codec Options and, if required, modify default DiffServ/TOS values

from 0. Set these proﬁles once for the IP Trunk 3.01 (and later) node. In a

later step, download the DSP proﬁles card properties to each card.

Procedure 20

Conﬁguring DSP proﬁles for the IP Trunk3.01 (and later) node

Step Action

1Click the DSP Proﬁle tab. See Figure 53 "DSP Proﬁle General tab"

(page 244). The General tab displays a detailed description of the

default DSP Proﬁle 1.

2Change the default DSP proﬁle from the drop-down list, if required.

There are three DSP proﬁles. Each proﬁle contains two or more

codecs. All IP trunk cards in the same node share the same DSP

proﬁle.

CAUTION

The default DSP proﬁle is Proﬁle 1, which is appropriate

for most applications. Only an expert in VoIP should

modify the default DSP proﬁle. "IP Trunk 3.01 (and later)

DSP proﬁle settings" (page 161)
