Upgrade the ITG 8-port trunk card ITG basic trunk software to ITG/ISL trunk software 481
Transmit Controlwindow open displaying the location of the
software file on TM 3.1.
If the trunk card can be reached by Telnet from TM 3.1, but
TM 3.1 shows the card status as Not Responding, TM 3.1
ITG SNMP MIB is incompatible with the ITG 8-port trunk card
software version. In this case, the software upgrade must be
executed from the ITG shellCLI of each ITG 8-por t trunk card
in the node (see step a, and Figure 157 "Software download
example" (page 482)).
a. ITG>swDownload "IP address of TM 3.1 PC", "itguser",
"obtuser", " ","ITG28xx.mms" where xx indicates the latest
version of the ITG Trunk2.0 software for the ITG 8-por t trunk
card.
Be sure to hit the space bar after typing in swDownload. Enter the
quotation marks and commas exactly as described in the step a and
as shown in Figure 157 "Software download example" (page 482).
7Reset the card. There are three ways to do this:
a. Fromthe IP Telephony Gateway Main window, double-click
each card to open the Card Properties. Click the Reset button if
the trunk card is showing responding. Close the Card Properties
and go to the next card in the list.
b. Ifthe card is showing "Not responding", Telnet to thecard and
enter the following command:
ITG> card Reset
c. Pressthe Reset button on the trunk card faceplate.
The trunk card faceplate shows T.20in the maintenance display
window.
8At this point, the trunk cards have ITG 2.0 ISDN functionality and are
in the state of new ITG 8-port trunk cards that need to be configured.
